Reddy’s Medicare Lab was founded in 1989 by Dr. R. Radha Reddy, MD (Pathology), with a mission to make quality diagnostics accessible to all. What began as a service-oriented initiative focused on accuracy and ethics soon laid the foundation for long-term excellence in diagnostics.
Over the years, the lab steadily grew by adopting advanced diagnostic technologies from across the globe. With a strong focus on precision, affordability, and ethical reporting, Reddy’s Medicare Lab established itself as a trusted name among patients and clinicians.
In 2017, driven by a personal healthcare crisis and the lack of timely diagnostics in Jharkhand, Dr. Shubham Kumar initiated Reddy’s Medicare Lab’s journey in Deoghar. The vision was clear—to eliminate diagnostic delays and bring big-city diagnostic standards to smaller towns.
Despite challenges and limited resources, the first fully operational mother lab in Deoghar was established in 2019. Equipped with advanced technology and skilled professionals, it marked a major milestone in improving diagnostic turnaround times in the region.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Reddy’s Medicare Lab emerged as a critical healthcare support system. With limited staff and overwhelming demand, the lab processed hundreds of samples and recognized the urgent need for formal accreditations to serve better.
By 2021, Reddy’s Medicare Lab achieved NABL accreditation and ICMR approval, a landmark achievement for diagnostics in Jharkhand. This milestone strengthened quality assurance, accuracy, and national-level recognition.
The lab supported major corporates and institutions including ADANI, Reliance, JIO, SBI, ICICI, and CANARA Bank, providing COVID testing, vaccination drives, and health camps—ensuring safe workplaces during critical times.
Post-pandemic, Reddy’s Medicare Lab expanded rapidly across Deoghar, Dumka, Godda, Bokaro, Gumla, Ranchi, and Jamshedpur, transforming collection centers into functional labs and drastically reducing report turnaround times.
